Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) uses their expertise in various HR processes within the Department of Justice (DOJ) to utilize Workday and other systems to deliver outstanding user support, and enhance user experience, satisfaction, and overall productivity. The AGPA develops tools and training aimed at supporting DOJ employees in using Workday. They ensure all departmental employees understand their roles and responsibilities, and have the resources needed for successful operation of HR systems. The AGPA partners closely with the Workday Support SSM I Specialists, receiving mentorship and guidance while collaborating on research, evaluation, tracking and management of resources and communications to advance Workday initiatives and support program goals.
Working Conditions: This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote centered position. The position will however require in-person attendance on a recurring basis. The selected candidate would report to DOJ headquarters in Sacramento when required for job functions, in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office when required are the responsibility of the employee. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.

The Department of Justice, Office of Human Resources is located in the heart of vibrant downtown Sacramento, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and Caesar Chavez Park. The Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility list will be used as an appropriate for the Associate Personnel Analystclassification. Candidates who would like to be appointed as an Associate Personnel Analyst must meet the minimum qualifications for theAssociate Personnel Analyst classification in addition to having Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility.
This is a 12-month limited term position, it may be extended to a maximum of 24 months and/or may become permanent based upon operational needs.
