Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Rochester, NY (must reside >75 miles from facility)

Shift: Nights, 3x12s (19:00–07:00)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)

Floating: Required

Weekends: Every Other Weekend

Requirements

• Must have an active NY RN License in hand (no exceptions)

• Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience

• Proficient in EPIC (Non-EPIC experience acceptable: CPN/Client Centricity)

• Certifications:

  • BLS

  • NRP

  • EFM

  • OB-ACLS or ACLS

Skills Needed

• Fetal monitoring (including “Monica” wireless system)

• Telemetry monitoring

• Newborn resuscitation support (Neopuff)

• Operation of Draeger newborn warmers

Patient Population

• Laboring patients of all gestational ages

• Triage for pregnant or postpartum patients (up to 6 weeks post-delivery)

• Must be comfortable with full L&D scope

Facility Details

• Tertiary Care Hospital

• Approx. 528 staffed beds

• Scrubs: Navy bottoms, navy or white top

• Charting: Epic
