The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the operating room setting.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.
- Assist with surgical procedures as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience in Operating Room.
- Travel experience required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- CNOR certification.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems.
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to participate in on-call duties approximately twice a month.
- Must be willing to work weekend call every 6th weekend.
