Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Design Engineer with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and strong product design engineering experience . This position focuses on the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through production. The ideal candidate combines innovative design skills with hands-on engineering knowledge to create manufacturable, cost-effective, and high-performance products. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform design concepts into functional, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies that meet performance, durability, and cost objectives.
  • Lead product design projects from concept development through prototyping, validation, and production release.
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials using SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise fit, form, and function across all designed components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance analyses, and root cause investigations for engineering issues.
  • Support product testing and validation activities to verify design intent and performance requirements.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and revision control within PLM or ERP systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by implementing design standardization and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 37 years of experience in mechanical or product design engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, casting, or stamping).
  • Experience applying GD&T and tolerance analysis to ensure design accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design projects, communicate technical information clearly, and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with mechanical product development in automotive, consumer goods, or industrial equipment industries.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Familiarity with FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools to validate design performance.
  • Experience with PLM, PDM, or ERP systems for engineering change management.
  • Background in prototype development, testing, and validation methods.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
