Service Department Scheduler / Coordinator – Farris Motor Company

Location: Jefferson City
Department: Service Department
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (No weekends, no required overtime)
Compensation: Weekly paycheck, benefits, and paid training

About the Role

The Service Department Scheduler / Coordinator plays a key role in growing our service business by managing inbound calls, making outbound follow-up calls, and setting clear, specific appointments for our service departments across multiple locations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating clearly, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls to schedule service appointments for multiple locations

  • Ask strategic questions to determine which service department can best serve each guest

  • Make outbound calls to:

    • New prospective customers

    • Existing customers for service reminders and follow-ups

  • Professionally overcome objections and guide guests toward scheduling a visit

  • Recommend appropriate services based on the guest’s needs and vehicle condition

  • Confirm scheduled appointments to improve show rates

  • Compose professional emails to current and potential customers

  • Verify and update customer contact information on every call

  • Use multiple computer systems and screens simultaneously to document and manage appointments

  • Previous customer service experience preferred

  • Automotive knowledge is helpful but not required

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer and internet proficiency

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and willing to learn

  • Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a drive to achieve results

  • Automotive industry experience is a plus, but not required
